Is it possible that the activity of some people in a circle doesn't show?

About two weeks ago I noticed the activity of the one of the people in my circle (who is also someone who lives in my area which is why I noticed) stopped.
At first I thought she just wasn't online for a couple of days but after a while I got worried and checked her profile to find out she had been faving loads of items and making treasuries that had not shown in my activity feed.
Is it a bug? Is it normal?

Hey Marion,

Why don't you try removing and re-adding them to your circle? Also, sometimes there is so much activity that things (stories) get grouped and/or pushed down to the bottom. Let us know if re-adding them works.

I'm afraid re-adding didn't work.
I can only see it when she faves one of my items but none of the other items she adds to her favorite list and non of the treasuries she makes.
Because this happens to one person in my circle (which I try to keep fairly small because I do want to keep track of things), I wonder if there are more people in my circle which I can't follow this way.
